Cygnus And The Stones

Cygnus And The Stones - England

A cold, clear, still November night only just above freezing, super conditions for a return to Stonehenge. It had been quite a few months since my last visit to this iconic spot and I still feel I have unfinished business to get the best from the location!

The classic core of the milky way has now dropped below the horizon, putting the Cygnus region of the galaxy centre stage. It is a beautiful sction of sky and the use of an astro modified camera captures the vast clouds of hydrogen gas which glow red to the modified camera.

Bottom right the bright star Vega shines, a mere 25 light years away!!
