Galactic Eruption

A night under the stars at the mud volcanoes of Gobustan. Being on the outskirts of Baku and Qobustan, with a major highway and villages just a few km away light pollution is not surprisingly hellish here, but I tried to embrace it in these images rather than fight it. It's a reflection of the location and to me the colours add an appropriate compliment to the volcanic nature of the site.

Still one of my favourite locations in Azerbaijan.
