Pink Moon over Hampton Court
This image is difficult to get, it relies on the alignment and timing of the setting moon, which only occurs a couple of times per year, the right weather conditions and access to the park. On this occasion the alignment and weather played ball, I just needed a little luck with an early opening of the gates.
So after an 04.55 alarm call I was rewarded with open gates and clear skies! There was a little tripdation that the mist would obscure the palace as the moon dropped but the view of the moonset over the palace as the rising sun just starts to illuminate the palace was spectacular.
Ideally I'd like the moon a little more central :) but that gives me an excuse to go back and try again!
