Planetary Alignment

Planetary Alignment - England

A cold windy winters evening and just after sunset the planets Venus, Saturn and Jupiter aligned nicely over Stonehenge. It's amazing to see our solar system stretched out over our skies. Venus is our closest neighbour and sits just above the horizon, visible only for an hour or so after sunset. Jupiter sits top left, the biggest object in our solar system with twice the mass of all the other planets combined. Saturn sits faintly between them unfortunately its amazing rings not visible at this scale :). A nice combination over the stones.
