Rho Ophiuchi and the Lighthouse

This was one of the clearest nights I have seen, you could see the dust lanes and textures in the milky way by eye. A fantastic sight stretching over the sky. But on this occasion my focus was on a small patch, one of the most colourful, the gas clouds of Rho Ophiuci and the star Antares. I framed these and the core of the Milky Way at they rose over Belle Tout lighthouse in the South Downs.
