Starting a Photography Blog
15th May 2021
I've often though about creating a blog to go alongside my photography, I have read some great examples that inspire me, so much so that they left me thinking if I could create something that people would actually want to read!!!
But I have finally decided to give it a go and explore this side of photography and social media a little more. I'll try and describe a little about the process and experience of getting out and taking some images and see where it goes :)
For me photography is about the experience as much as it is the images you come away with. Yes it's nice to come away with an image the you feel good about and people might like it on social media which gives you that litle buzz for sure. But regardless of whether you come away with a "killer image", it's the experience of being there. Being on a beach, hill side, city street or wherever and experiencing the scene before you for a few minutes, where the light, landscape (or starscape!) and the conditions come together into something beautiful is so enjoyable. Often you are on your own but sometimes you have a few other photographers with you and there is something special in knowing that you are one of a small group to have partaken in that moment.
If you can capture that and invoke a little bit of what it was like into the casual viewer of a photograph then all the better.
So we'll see how this goes and hopefully a few people may find this interetsing! If you do, please feel free to leave a coment here: Comments
