Strawberry Moon over London

It’s always interesting to try new locations, this is a classic view from Hampstead Heath but the first time I had visited. The forecast clear skies sort of materialised, clear overhead except for the band of cloud sitting right across the horizon to block the moonrise!!! So the group of intrepid photographers waited patiently for the moon to finally appear. No close ups of the moon and shard as planned, but I did love this panoramic view, the blues and fading pinks, the last flash of light on the city buildings and a 98% moon. It’s not always about the big closeup and long lens!
