Clear skies, calm conditions and a waxing crescent moon descending around sunset, what a perfect combination. I spent an hour watching the moon descend and the colours change through sunset and into the blues of twilight. I love the transition here from sunset orange to the darkening blues of dusk. A simple composition, the moon was too high for telephoto shots but the crescent over the Diana fountain against the pastel colours is my favourite of the evening.
I do think the cormorant lives on the statue! Or at least is determined to pose whenever a photographer turns up!!
